State Consumer Price Index for July 2026

Consumer prices fell by 0.1% in July

The National Consumer Price Index (LIK) fell by 0.1% in July 2026 compared with the previous month, reaching a level of 101.1 points (December 2025 = 100). Compared with the same month of the previous year, inflation stood at +0.4%. This is according to figures from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO). The Swiss National Consumer Price Index is adopted monthly by the Office of Statistics in Liechtenstein.

The 0.1% decline compared to the previous month is attributable to various factors, including lower prices for air travel as well as for diesel and gasoline. Prices for clothing and shoes also fell due to seasonal sales. In contrast, prices in the non-hotel accommodation sector, as well as prices for heating oil, car rentals, and car-sharing, rose.
