How can youth participation strengthen democracy in Europe? What role do young people play in shaping political decisions – today and in the future?
To explore these questions, the Maltese Presidency of the Council of Europe invites young adults from Liechtenstein to take part in the 10th Conference of Ministers responsible for Youth, held on 8-9 October 2025 in Valletta, Malta. Ahead of the main event, a youth gathering will take place on 7-8 October, where participants can share their perspectives and prepare for the conference. Overall availability from 6-10 October 2025 is expected.

What you should bring:
- You are between 18 and 30 years old
- You live in Liechtenstein or hold Liechtenstein citizenship
- You speak English well
- You’re interested in democracy, youth policy, and international cooperation
What to expect:
- Exchange with young people and ministers from across Europe
- Contribute to shaping the European youth agenda
- Gain insights into international policymaking and youth participation at the European level
Accommodation and meals will be provided by the Council of Europe. Travel costs will be covered by the Office for Foreign Affairs (AAA).
