School Sports Championships 2025 - A weekend full of team spirit and enthusiasm

This year's school sports championships in Liechtenstein last weekend were a sporting highlight for pupils, teachers, parents and sports enthusiasts throughout the country. With a great atmosphere and packed spectator seats, 230 young talents from secondary schools showed impressive performances and great team spirit.

Focus on basketball and floorball

Basketball took center stage in the first school level: fast attacks, energetic defense and a high technical level made for exciting games right up to the last second. The second school level competed against each other in floorball. The finals were exciting with dynamic combinations and thrilling goal-area scenes. The coveted four challenge cups will all go to the Liechtenstein grammar school for a year.

More than just competition: the joy of movement

In addition to sporting ambition, the main focus was on the joy of movement. The championships once again underlined the importance of fairness, team spirit and mutual support for the personal and social development of young people.

The organizer Schulsport Liechtenstein and the supporting clubs UH Schaan and BC Woodchucks drew a positive conclusion. There were only winners - be it through exciting competitive experiences or the shared joy of sport.

The next school volleyball championships for 3rd and 4th grade will take place next Wednesday afternoon, 3.12.2025, in the SZU sports hall.
