Ordinance on the hunting aptitude test and hunting warden examination is amended

At its meeting on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, the government adopted an amendment to the ordinance on the hunting aptitude test and hunting warden examination.

In particular, the admission requirements for the hunting warden examination were amended. According to a newly introduced provision, the hunting warden examination can be taken at the earliest three years after passing the hunting aptitude test. This is intended to ensure that prospective gamekeepers already have hunting experience when they take the examination. In future, a current extract from the criminal record and a valid emergency helper's certificate must also be submitted when registering for the hunting aptitude test - as is already the case when registering for the hunting supervisor test.
