Preventing criminal structures of power in peace processes

Liechtenstein is supporting the “Organized Crime and Peacemaking” programme of the international non-governmental organization “HD Centre” with a contribution of CHF 100,000 in the year 2024.

The focus is on the prevention of criminal power structures that undermine peace processes and thus contribute to the long-term instability of a region or country. The program uses a holistic approach to pool knowledge and experience. By supporting the program, Liechtenstein is advancing a topic in the field of peace mediation that has so far received little attention within the international community and contributes to long-term peace. In this way, Liechtenstein is contributing in particular to the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 16 (“Peace, justice and strong institutions”).
