In 2024, Liechtenstein's accommodation establishments (hotels, vacation apartments, youth hostels, dormitories and camping) recorded a total of 120,587 guest arrivals and 228,579 overnight stays. Compared to the previous year, this represents an increase of 3.3% in guest arrivals and 2.8% in overnight stays. With a 46.1% share of overnight stays, Switzerland was the most important country of origin (country of residence) for guests.
78.6% of overnight stays were recorded in the hotel industry in 2024. The hotel industry recorded 179,655 overnight stays. This is 2.8% more than in the previous year.
Of the 179,655 overnight stays recorded in the hotel industry, 65,616 overnight stays were attributable to the Alpenhotels in Steg and Malbun. 114,039 overnight stays were recorded by hotels in the Rhine Valley.
