Help shape the Alps of the future! Young adults from Liechtenstein wanted

Energy crisis, climate change and water scarcity: The Alpine region is facing a number of challenges that require cooperation across the Alps. The seven Alpine countries, including Liechtenstein, are therefore working on joint projects in the EU Strategy for the Alpine Re-gion (EUSALP) to make the Alpine region fit for the future. In order to include the ideas of the younger generation, EUSALP is looking for young adults to join the EUSALP Youth Council. Apply now if you would like to play an active role in shaping the future of the Alpine region!

Applications until May 31, 2025

Young adults between the ages of 18 and 29 from Liechtenstein can apply to take part in the EUSALP Youth Council. Are you interested? Then apply by May 31, 2025 at https://alpine-region.eu/alpine-youth/get-involved/application-eusalp-yc. The fifth EUSALP Youth Council will be convened for one year in summer 2025.

The Office for Foreign Affairs will cover the travel and accommodation costs of the Liechtenstein members for the Youth Council meetings. The Youth Council was co-initiated by Liechtenstein and is funded by the "Support EUSALP" project of the Interreg Alpine Space Program.

Alpine-wide platform for strengthening the role of youth

The EUSALP is one of four macro-regional strategies of the EU. With the help of the strategy, the Alpine states and regions want to work more closely together to find common solutions to common challenges. Liechtenstein is involved in the EUSALP together with Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Slovenia. This year, Liechtenstein is holding the EUSALP Presidency together with Austria.

With the EUSALP Youth Council, which consists of 4 members from each of the seven Alpine countries, you will have a seat at the table in the EUSALP committees and participate in the debates and decisions. You can propose concrete actions, projects and topics, put forward ideas to politicians from the EUSALP countries and regions and raise awareness of the special features of your region at European level. The Youth Council organizes itself and learns to engage in a democratic process across linguistic and cultural differences.
