In 2023, the state spent a total of CHF 12.6 million on reducing the premiums of people with health insurance. Compared to the previous year, total expenditure has therefore increased by 16.3%. In contrast, the number of recipients increased by 13.3% to 5,560 people in the same period. An average of CHF 2,272 in Premium Reduction Bureau benefits was paid out per person.
