July 1, 2026 – Total energy consumption and imports decreased by 0.1% and 1,165 MWh, respectively, to 1,109,010 MWh in 2025. Per capita consumption decreased by 0.3 MWh to 26.9 MWh.
Electricity consumption decreased by 0.6% compared to the previous year. Sales of heating oil in Liechtenstein fell by 5.6%. Natural gas consumption decreased by 2.6%, while biogas consumption rose by 28.5%. District heating from municipal solid waste increased by 3.7%. Wood as an energy source recorded a decline of 4.8%. Diesel rose by 10.3% compared to the previous year, while gasoline decreased by 3.0%.
The share of energy supplied from domestic energy resources in total energy supply decreased from 16.7% to 16.3% in 2025. Energy production from domestic resources amounted to 180,468 MWh.
