Diseases of the circulatory system remain the most common cause of death

A total of 302 people died in 2024. The main cause of death in 2024 was diseases of the circulatory system (including diabetes mellitus). A total of 79 people (26%) of those who died had this cause of death. 77 people (25%) died from cancer. Other relatively common causes of death were old age including dementia (11%) and respiratory diseases (7%). In 17 cases, the cause of death was "accidents or violence" (6%), four of which were suicides.
