The national consumer price index (CPI) rose by 0.3% in April 2026 compared to the previous month, reaching 101.1 points (December 2025 = 100). Compared to the same month last year, inflation was +0.6%. These are the figures from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO). The Swiss consumer price index is published monthly by the Office of Statistics for Liechtenstein.

The increase of 0.3% compared to the previous month is due to various factors, including higher prices for petrol, diesel and heating oil. Prices for air travel and package tours abroad have also risen. By contrast, prices in the hotel and parahotel industry have fallen, as have those for car rental and car sharing.
