Causes of death: Diseases of the circulatory system are the most common cause of death
A total of 279 people died in 2022. The main cause of death in 2022 was diseases of the circulatory system (including diabetes mellitus). A total of 74 people (27%) of those who died had this cause of death. 63 people (23%) died from cancer. Other relatively common causes of death were old age, including dementia (12%), and respiratory diseases (8%). In ten cases, the cause of death was accidents or violence (4%), one of which was suicide.
