Perhaps somewhat unexpectedly and inconspicuously hidden in the tables of farm animals in the Agriculture section, but not unimportant: bee colonies. Now in spring, the hibernation of bee colonies ends and they set off to collect pollen and nectar and pollinate the spring flowers. Bee colonies are crucial for Agriculture, which is why they are counted every year and, since 2018, May 20 has even been recognized internationally as World Bee Day. A fitting opportunity to take a look at the state of bee colonies in Liechtenstein.
