At the end of 2024, 11,478 buildings with residential use with a total of 22,215 apartments were counted in Liechtenstein. This corresponds to an increase of 58 buildings (0.5%) or 148 apartments (0.7%) compared to the previous year.
19,303 apartments were classified as permanently occupied, i.e. they had been registered as occupied at least once in the past two years. Of the permanently occupied apartments, 18,622 were occupied on the reporting date of December 31, 2024. 681 apartments, or 3.5%, were unoccupied on the reporting date. In the previous year, 4.1% of permanently occupied apartments were unoccupied on the reporting date.
