In the 2024/25 academic year, there were 1,101 apprentices in 284 training companies in Liechtenstein. This represents an increase of 2.2%, or 24 apprentices, compared to the previous year. Compared to the average of the previous five years, the number of apprentices increased by 1.3%. As in previous years, the most popular fields of study remain the metal and machinery industries, professions in organization, administration, and office work, healthcare, and training programs in technical professions. About two-thirds of the apprentices chose a career in these fields.
Of the 314 apprentices registered for the final apprenticeship examination in the summer of 2025, 288 (91.7%) successfully completed their vocational training. Of these, 17 graduates also obtained the vocational baccalaureate (BMS I) alongside their apprenticeship.
