In the 2023/24 apprenticeship year, there were 1,077 apprentices in 271 training companies in Liechtenstein. Compared to the previous year, this is 0.7% or 7 apprentices more. However, this is fewer apprentices than the average of 1,092 apprentices in the last five apprenticeship years. As in previous years, the most popular fields of training remain the metal and machine industry, professions in organization, administration and office work as well as technical professions. Around two thirds of apprentices opted for a profession in these fields of education.
Of the 328 apprentices registered for the final apprenticeship examination in the 2023/24 apprenticeship year, 93% (306 apprentices) successfully completed the examination. Of these, 15 graduates also obtained a vocational baccalaureate.
